Curtis Harding’s “Face Your Fear” caught me by surprise in November. I heard “On And On” on KEXP’s song of the day podcast and the song instantly caught my ear. I literally walked right down to the music store and picked up the vinyl upon first lesson. This is easily one of the best albums I have purchased in 2017. Continue reading
It’s that time when music writers start publishing their top lists of albums for the year. I know you’ve all been waiting to see mine so let’s get this musical party started.
Wow, it’s been a while for me since I last touched my blog. A lot has gone down in the last 18 months. Like a lot of bloggers, my energy to post slowly started to wane. Then 2017 came along and turned life upside down. My marriage of 20 years came to an end and I moved out of my home of 22 years. I found new love, had to walk away from it. Throw in a few other things and it’s quite clear this is not my year.
I’ve stumbled across three young British singers in the last few months that I think are well worth a listen. It’s definitely on the “poppier” side of my listening tastes but sometimes I need something on the lighter side. Continue reading
